Heal Yourself with Yog Mudras : Dr Deepa Mehta


Heal your self by effortlessly using your hand gestures, which are 
called as mudras. We are talking about few of them here, which 
really enhance your health and well being. 

Mudras

Gyan Mudra (Mudra of knowledge):
Join the tip of your index finger with the tip of your thumb with both 
the hands. Do it at least 10 to 15 minutes everyday. 
Benefits mainly for brain function.
You can do it anytime while sitting or in resting position. 

Prithvi Mudra (represents Earth element): 
Join the Ring finger tip with the tip of your thumb other fingers straight. 
Do it at least 10 to 15 minutes everyday for better results. 
To improve your physical health. 

Varun Mudra (to balance your water element):
Join the tip of the Little finger (Kanishthika) and the tip of the thumb. 
For better results, do it at least 7 to10 minutes everyday. 
Regulates menstrual cycle. 
Helps to retain water. 
Balances your emotional health. 

Vayu Mudra (Air element): 
Use your thumb to press your Index finger by folding it. 
All other fingers should remain straight. 
At least do it 3 times a day for 10 minutes to reduce stress and anxiety. 

Apan Vayu Mudra ( Mudra for heart): 
Bend your Index finger towards the thumb base, middle and ring finger 
touching with the tip of the thumb together. Little finger should be straight. 
Very good for the health of heart. Reduces acidity, gastric issues and 
super beneficial for gut health.
For full benefit, perform every day for at least 15 to 20 minutes.
